Extremely spacious rooms, I had comfortable experience.
Booked a room with a balcony. It was near to a local cafe, the center of Madrid and Atocha railway station, Puerta del Sol and Park Retiro, great and unbeatable location overall. Found a place called Bellagio Pizza, set a few steps away from the hotel, ate there a few times.

The location right by Plaza Mayor made it super easy to explore the historic area of Madrid. The room had a great layout with plenty of light and was very quiet despite being in a bustling area. Cleanliness stood out. Everything was super clean. They provided tea, coffee, and even a bottle of bubbly. Staff members like Bianca were helpful, offering maps and suggestions for dining. A couple of minor things could improve the experience though. The shower screen was a bit too small, causing water to splash out. Finding the hotel was tricky since it's on the second floor of an apartment building with a sign that's hard to spot. I would definitely stay here again for its charm and convenience.

missingWrote a review on 27 Octquiet areaunsupervised receptionlimited dining options
The hotel is conveniently located in a quiet area, just a short stroll from major attractions.
I encountered issues when trying to access the reception, as it wasn't always staffed during the posted hours. It was annoying to share just one set of keys for the main entrance and our room, especially when my travel partner wasn't available. The lack of dining options within the hostal was disappointing, requiring us to venture out each time we wanted a meal.

I really enjoyed the cozy feel of my room with its small fridge, and the hotel being just a few steps from the Royal Palace and Plaza Mayor made it a great base for exploring the city on foot. I loved how I could easily pop into El Retiro Park for some fresh air and beautiful views whenever I wanted.

Perfect location in the heart of the city. Just a short walk to major attractions. The air conditioning was fantastic for the hot days. And we appreciated the complimentary bottle of cava in our fridge.
Noise from nearby bars could be bothersome at night. An earplug might help for light sleepers.
